Yes, I spoke to my Father about Cyril. He had a heart attack this past Wednesday when my blog went live. We don’t know the cause. Why would a 32 year old filipino male in good health have a heart attack. But that’s what happened.
They say he was unconscious for about half an hour until paramedics arrived. He’s in the hospital in stable condition but no brain activity and on a partial ventilator. But his organs are all functioning and in good working order. They are going to run more tests mostly to find out if he’s clinically brain dead.
His Father’s birthday is coming up on March 20. It’s also his death anniversary. He died 13 years ago on that day… on his birthday.
My recommendation to his family, especially his Mother is to 1. consider waiting a few months or more until perhaps he returns with brain activity 2. and making sure her son is an organ donor. You may not be able to save his life, but you’ll be able to save others.
It took my mother close to 6 months to return with normal functioning brain activity, though not at optimum levels. However, my Mama wasn’t on a ventilator of any kind and she wasn’t considered clinically brain-dead with no brain activity. She could follow commands and she was sentient and awake, just not fully there until 6 months later.
This is a hard time for you, Ella and your other kiddos. *love and light* He is too young. No one expected this. But because he is only 32, miracles can still happen. So don’t lose hope just yet.
Best Wishes Always
